Mild tremors jolted Dhaka and some other parts of the country on Sunday afternoon, says media report.
The tremor of 5.1 magnitude was recorded and the epicentre of the quake was in the India-Myanmar border region, about 279 km East of Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in the city’s Agargaon area.
The tremor, categorised as a moderate one, was felt at 4.46pm, informed the BMD.
No reports of damage caused the earthquake was reported yet.
